What babies already know at birth?

In this article a Professor at Harvard is studying what the brain initially knows. This is important to know because everything needs to start some where and this knowledge needs to be formed somewhere along the line of being born. From this study it is know that babies know the idea of objects as a whole being one thing, and that these objects follow some sort of path through space. This important to know because if we learn the base case on how knowledge in the brain is learned, we might be able to learn more about how the brain works.
