Preventable diseases still ravage children: study
The article is a study of preventable diseases in the 3rd world and some developed countries, such as pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria. A total of 7.6 million die in their first 5 years of life because of these diseases. Half of these children are from five countries India, Nigeria, Congo, Pakistan, and China. Upgrades as simple as mosquito nets for children help reduce the spread of disease such as malaria and pneumonia by mosquito bites. The author suggest that the main goal is to reduce child mortality by two-thirds by 2015.
