The Dangers of Long Commutes

People are constantly commuting in to work and school from their homes far away. I have heard of people having commutes longer than an hour each way. Now, longer commutes are connected to higher weight, higher blood pressure, and a lower level of fitness which can all lead to diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. Long commutes can also be associated with higher chronic stress. As cancer and obesity is already too prevalent in today's society, this is just one more factor leading to these dangers.
