Is Social Jet Lag Harming Your Health?
Social jet lag is a term
used to describe the different sleep schedule on weekdays versus the weekend. It
is a confliction between the body and social clock. A team of researchers have
been studying the sleep habits of over 65,000 adults and found that social jet
lag tripled the odds of being overweight. The wider the gap between weekday and
weekend schedule showed a rise in obesity, along with diabetes and other health problems.
