Dr. Morando Soffritti, a cancer researcher found that spartame, a sweetener, may cause cancer. He conducted study during a period of seven years and found that rats that had received doses of spartame had cancer. Soffriti stated that there is a substances that causea toxin that increases the risk of cancer.
