Mild Traumatic Brain Injury May Contribute to Brain Network Dysfunction


Mild traumatic brain injury has shown that it can result in a long-lasting neurological issue that include cognitive processes, confusion, chronic headache, posttraumatic stress syndrome, and depression.  This could have been the case for many athletes that obtain a mild traumatic brain injury.  It disrupts the axons and how they conduct electrical signals.
