More Omega-3s in Diet, Less of an Alzheimer’s Protein
Researchers have found that
omega-3 fatty acid is so far the only nutrient capable of reducing the amount
of beta-amyloid protein. The beta-amyloid protein causes plaques and tangles in
the brain, resulting in Alzheimer’s disease and mental decline. Researchers
have tested multiple nutrients, and only omega-3 has shown it can reduce the
amount of beta-amyloid protein in the body.
