A disturbing trend has come to light recently. More and more medical articles are being retracted from journals. Some say that this is due to a change in the motivations of doctors, looking at doctors as business men and woman trying to meet a quota of findings in order to get the next big grant. Others say that this is due to the availability of the medical journal articles, with an article being exposed to a larger audience the chance of mistakes being found go up as well.
