Minnesota is one of the nations top producers in turkey and hog. The U.S. FDA is close to releaseing new guidelines on animal antibiotic use. Many of the farmers in Minnesota use it to prevent the animals from disease, but there is more and more concern from the public about health risks. The change is hoping to reduce the use of antibiotic use in animals.
