Sleep Deprivation in America
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has estimated that 30 percent of employed adults in the United States get less than 6 hours of sleep per night. Adults are estimated to need 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Sleep deprivation can lead to obesity, cardiovascular disease, and well as other negative side effects. Because sleep deprivation can lead to many health problems, some companies are even implementing training programs for their employees.
