Polar Bear Cannibalism on the Sea Ice

This article is entered around a picture that was captured on the sea ice of Norway. The big stir is related to the fact that it shows a fully grown polar bear eating a juvenile polar bear, which is cannibalism. There has been a few accounts of this happening, but this is the first time it was captured on film. Scientists speculate on the reasoning behind this is the melting ice caps and the reduction in available seal meat. They hypothesize that events of cannibalism will increase as their habitat fades.
