A new study shows a birth control shot and it effects. The birth control shot is a convenient supplement who don't want to have to remember to take their birth control each day. However, research may show that this shot may not help memory but may hurt it instead. The drug MPA which is found in the shot could be the reason for this memory loss. These tests were done on rats and after taking the shots they were put in mazes to test their memory. The hormone doesn't necessarily cause total memory loss but it could be a contributor.
