This article is focused on the brains of cab drivers in London and it looks at how much bigger cab drivers hippocampus are in order to memorize all the streets around the area that they have to drive in. Neuroscientists found that the hippocampus, which is the area where most information involved in spatial recognition is stored. London drivers have to take tests about the streets in the area before they can be taxi drivers, and therefore their brains reflect the vast amount of spatial knowledge. However, studies are also showing that the brain is lacking in other areas, mostly the anterior hippocampus, which is visual memory.
