Removal of the PTHrP hormone can stop the growth of breast tumors


Scientists believe that removing the parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP) [which is present at high levels in cancers and is involved in key stages of breast cancer initiation, progression and metastatic spread] from the breast and the breast tumors will block not only the growth of the tumors but also its spread to different organs.
