New Drinkers Cut Heart Disease Risk

This new study has shown that drinking wine significantly cuts one's chances for heart disease. Of a group of people who had previously not drank alcohol, whose who began drinking a glass or two of wine a day had a risk of heart attack or stroke that was 68% lower than the non-drinkers after 4 years of consumption. Beer and spirits also decreased risk, but not significantly. This may make some non-drinkers consider wine for the future health benefits.
