Scientists have finally released evidence indicating that blood cell test, which are much cheaper than alternative HIV testing methods, are equally effective. This is great news for people living in poverty who can now be tested for this disease. Diagnosis is key to stopping the spread of HIV and this announcement is a great stride forward. In the future, greater tests may add evidence to justify the removal of bans on homosexuals from donating blood and other tissues and help identify HIV earlier.
