Bumblebee Rediscovered

Scientists have rediscovered Cockerell's Bumblebee, a bee last seen in the 1950s. This is one of the rarest bees in existence, with only a few dozen specimen ever being identified. This rediscovery is great news in light of the recent bee population shortages. They're only found within a 300 square mile area, giving them the smallest range of any of the United State's 300 bee species. The rediscovery of these bees leads scientists and insect conservationists to have hope that other near-extinct species may still survive.
