Treatment for Blood Disease Is Gene Therapy Landmark

Six patients have been cured from the blood clotting disease known as hemophilia by medical researchers in Britain. How nice it is. This is the first well-known disease to appear treatable by gene therapy. This disease is caused by a defect in the gene for factor IX. Because the Factor IX gene lies on the X chromosome which only men have a single copy, the disease almost occurs only in men. I am glad they have found a cure for Hemophilia B because it will save lots of men in the world.
