Some muscular dystrophy patients at increased risk for cancer

A team of researched found that people with the most common form of muscular dystrophy are at a higher risk for cancer. The findings mean that patients with muscular dystrophy should be careful and undergo cancer screenings. When the records of about 1600 patients with this type of muscular dystrophy were examined it was found they had double the risk for several types of cancer.
