Researcher Finds University-Wide Smoking Ban Effective

The Center for Disease Control has conducted a studyon the effectiveness of the university's smoking ban. Indiana's University was compared to Purdue Universitydue to similarities in their demographics. Indiana University placed a smoking ban on campus; while Purdue had no restrictions. After two years of placing the ban, this study showed that there amount of smoking at Indiana University decreased, while the amount of smoking on Purdue's campus increased slightly.
