Scientists have been working for years trying to recreate the process of photosynthesis. A team from Penn State has created an engineered biological system to photosynthesize even faster and better than plants. The system facilitates fast movement between light capturing enzymes. Importantly, the system can be used to produce a wide range of biofuels.
