A New Worry for Soccer Parents: Heading the Ball
A soccer player heads the ball repeatedly. Are there any effects on health? The research has shown that a person who has been a soccer player since childhood and play year-round in adult soccer leagues and headed the ball more than 1100 times in the past year lose a lot of white matter in his brain compare with someone who headed a few times. It is just like a person get injury on brain. Loss of white brain would reduce a person’s memory. I have tried to head the ball many times and I can’t feel the white matters change in my mind, and of cause, I can’t see something in my mind but I really feel the pain.
