New Flu Strain Makes Health Experts Nervous

Scientist have found a new strain of an influenza virus that moves in pigs and occasionally on people. It was first spotted in July (only 10 cases) in children under the age of 10 (and one 58 year old). This makes public health authorities wonder if there is a new swine-origin flu that is circulating in low levels among humans. This worries them because flu viruses have the ability to mutate easily into deadly pathogens, so they have to look into this. The new virus is called H3N2.
