NASA to announce discovery of new alien planets

Today NASA will be unveiling a number of newly discovered planets, found by NASA's Kepler planet-hunting spacecraft.

Earlier this month NASA announced the discovery of a planet called Kepler-22b, the first planet to be discovered that could possibly support life as we know it. It is unclear whether or not more possibly habitable planets will be revealed at the 1 PM press conference today (Tuesday, December 20th).
