Illuminating the Perils of Pollution, Nature’s Way
Edith Widder has been studying the effect of pollution in waters to the relative health of creatures for quite some time now. She has been steadily observing the decay in the quality of water and the potential impact that it could have for everyone. She states that the food chain would be broken or harmed. Pollution destroys plants that smaller aqua animals need to survive. Once that is taken away, smaller creatures will die off, causing bigger ones to follow the same fate. We have to be accountable for our actions towards the ocean and lakes. Seafood we enjoy might become a luxury if we don't do something about water pollution. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/20/science/a-pollution-fight-powered-by-bioluminescent-sea-creatures.html?_r=1&src=me&ref=science
