HIV Vaccine Potential

Scientists have discovered how an HIV antibody attacks the infection in people. It uses the sugar "cloak" that the virus produces to help avoid antibody detection in the body and binds the virus to the cell it's already infected, preventing it from spreading. This discovery, combined with further research, may produce a vaccine for the virus, something which would send shockwaves through the world. Should scientists find a safe way to produce a vaccine, this may spell the end of HIV.
