HIV Spreading Protein Identified

Scientists at the Gladstone Institute have identified a protein in the semen of infected men that helps to promote infection in new hosts. Going on research previously published by a German group which identified positively charged fibrils in semen as the source of HIV spreading infections. These fibrils infect the healthy cells of the blood stream. This combined research may help to curb infection rates and slow the spread of HIV/AIDS, something that everyone can be happy about.
