Gene Therapy Shows Promise for Treating Hemophilia

This article discusses a success story of gene therapy where stem cells were used to benefit a small group of hemophiliacs. Unfortunately, the test group was quite small, only six people, but still the results were very promising. Four of these six people no longer needed treatment for the hemophilia after the therapy, and the other two needed significantly less medicine.
