Elephant Downfall Causes Modern Human To Arise

This article is about how the loss of elephants was actually a benefit to the modern human race. When the elephants started to die out in the Middle East about 400,000 years ago, homo erectus followed suit due to their dietary needs. Homo erectus depended on the elephants and the animal fat intake they provided. Because of their struggles, homo sapiens arose and over-took the Middle East, with lighter builds and larger brains and not as much dependency on the elephant.
