Ecstasy Fights Obesity

Ecstasy helps the body's muscles burn more fat into energy. A protein called UCP3 is switched on by the chemicals in ecstasy, causing the mitochondria to turn fats and sugars into energy. Obviously, ecstasy does other things to the body besides burn fat, so scientists are working on finding the one part of the drug that stimulates the UCP3. Once this research is completed, we may have a cure to obesity and type 2 diabetes.
