Babies born by cesarean section are more likely to become obese than those born naturally. Naturally born babies have lower fat levels in their livers after birth than the cesarean babies, which is due to them not going through the labor process and the birth canal. Apparently, the natural birthing triggers a metabolic process which allows people to handle fats. Normal metabolic development is distorted for cesarean babies.
