Cloning of woolly mammoths no longer sci-fi

Wooly mammoths is said to be possible within 5 years. The majority of scientists agree that someday we will be able to clone extinct species but many say it take more like 20 or 30 years to accomplish this. It is believed that DNA from the bone marrow of a woolly mammoth thigh bone can be used and that an intact nucleus could be inserted to the egg of a modern elephant. Scientists think that a modern Asian elephant is close enough genetically to hosts a mammoth embryo.
