Cancer survivors have a higher risk of melanoma

Although doctors have known that people who survive a type of melanoma have a risk for getting another type of more aggressive skin cancer, a new study now has found that survivors of non-skin cancers may also have an increased risk melanoma. The link between melanoma and other cancers may be explained through genetic susceptibility in these multiple types of cancers.
