Scientists at Worcester Polytechnic Institute were able to regenerate functional muscle tissue in mice. With this research, a new clinical therapy might be able to treat patients who suffer from muscle trauma. The scientists used mature human muscle cells and were able to manipulate them into acting like stem cells.
