Antibodies Developed to Attack Alzheimer's
Researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute are developing a new treatment for combating Alzheimer's disease. They are working to develop antibodies that target the harmful proteins that cause Alzheimer's. The disease is caused by the "Alzheimer protein," tiny molecules that can be devastating to the brain. These new antibodies are designed to only target the bad proteins, and leave the good proteins alone. Scientists are hoping that the success of this research will help to develop new drugs fro other harmful diseases.
