Simple Blood Test Diagnoses Parkinson's Disease Long Before Symptoms Appear

Scientists in the United Kingdom have developed a blood test that can detect Parkinson's at it's earliest stages before symptoms present themselves. This test is possible because of a substance called "phosphorylated alpha-synuclein" which is commonly found in the blood of people with Parkinson's. Scientists have developed a way to identify it in a blood test which can lead to developing medicines that can protect the brain more effectively and patients will have a better quality of life.
