Semiconductors allow many solutions to problems
with medical implants to be solved. Innovations in wireless technology and
circuitry will allow new devices to be developed and many companies are devoted
to these possibilities. A new device called a nano-generator has been shown to
convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and could remove the need for
batteries.
