Obese Child Taken Away from Mother, Placed in Foster Care

In Cleveland, Ohio, a third-grader has been taken from his mother and placed in Foster Care. Child Protection Services have claimed that the mother was neglecting medical attention to the child. The child has breathing problems and other problems associated with being obese, even requiring  hospital visits. But is the mother responsible for letting her child become obese? You can only lead a horse to the water, but you cannot make it drink the water.
