Malaria Seeps into Your Bloodstream

As defined by Noah Butler, PhD and University of Iowa, "Malaria is chronic, prolonged infection and the host immune defense has a tough time clearing it and sometimes it never clears it." It has recently been discovered that it has even more devastating affects. According to new research from the University of Iowa, malaria manipulates the immune system allowing more perisites to continue their infection all the way into the blood stream. Researchers examined this tested a mouse, and were able to cure it bloodstream infections.
