Less food, longer life.

In a recent study, scientists investigated groups of mice that were being fed only 70% of the food they normally consumed and noticed that this new calorie-restrcting diet triggered the release of CREB1, a protein molecule that activates genes linked to longevity and healthy brain functioning.

Says the researchers: "CREB1 is known to regulate important brain functions as memory, learning and anxiety control, and its activity is reduced or physiologically compromised by aging."
