Lamarck’s Bizarre Theory of Evolution May Turn Out to Be Right After All

This article talks about how we have always denied Lamarck's theory of evolution, in that the traits acquired during one's lifetime gets passed down to their ancestors.  However, recent studies at Columbia University show that his theory may actually be correct; they studied roundworms, and found that a resistance developed to a disease over their lifetime was passed down to their offspring.  This isn't enough evidence to fully support Lamarck's theory, but they believe that it's a start-however, who knows if it will actually turn out to be true.
