Israelli Cancer Vaccine

This article describes a new, experimental cancer vaccine being developed in Israel. It is being produced by Vaxil BioTherapeutics, an Israeli company, and is being tested at Hadassah University in Jerusalem. This vaccine is a Therapeutic vaccine, meaning it works even if you already have cancer. The vaccine works by activating T-cells (which we learned about in class!) to combat the cancerous cells in your body. If the vaccine works - and signs are good in tests up til now - we could see it in as early as six years. The vaccine would work against 90% of cancers, including prostate and breast cancer, tumerous and non-tumerous cancers.
