How Bacteria Build Homes Inside Healthy Cells

Biologists at Purdue University have discovered how a certain protein from the bacteria, Legionella pneumophila, alters a host protein so that it can divert raw materials in the cell for use inside and disguising the structure as the bacteria copies and replicates. The new bacterias block the old proteins and become a huge infection. The biologists hope to use the protein in order to learn more about other complex structures.
