A new study links the hormone medroxyprogesterone (MPA), the active hormone in the birth control shot Depo Provera and many other popular birth control shots, was linked to memory loss in rodents. This has raised very important questions about the lasting effects of memory loss in humans due to the hormone. These results could have a very big impact for all women who have used birth control shots with the MPA hormone.
