Gray Area: Does a "Longevity" Gene Increase Alzheimer's Risk?



This is a really interesting article. There is a group of 540 Ashkenazi Jews who carry a gene which scientists believe will be the key to living a very long life. All of these people are over over 95-years-old. The problem though is that different researchers conducted studies on these people and some of them came to the conclusion that the gene slows dementia and some concluded that it promotes cognitive decline.
