Genes Determine Social Behavior in Primates


     A new study recently tested social behavior among 217 social primate species. The study challenges many previous beliefs about the development of social behavior is actually linked to genes, not the environment, or brain volume. This new finding is making scientists believe that social structure is hard to change, and each individual will act according to whatever social structure it inherits.
