Brominated Battle: Soda Chemical Has Cloudy Health History

Gamers (and I guess people in general) drink caffeinated beverages for energy. It turns out that there is a synthetic chemical called brominated vegetable oil, or BVO in Mountain Dew or some other citrus-flavored drinks. It is found in 10 percent of sodas in the US and is a patented flame retardant. It has been reported that some people who have had soda binges have needed medical attention for skin lesions, memory loss, and nerve disorders which are all symptoms of overexposure to bromine. One more reason to not drink pop!
