FDA overruled: No to younger teens getting morning-after contraception without prescription


The use of Plan B, or morning after pill, was scheduled to be sold as an over the counter drug in pharmacies by the end of December. At the last minute, however, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius over ruled this regulation. The debate poses whether or not girls younger than seventeen years of age should be provided access to this drug without a prescription.
