Can Chewing Gum Boost Exam Scores

It has been found that students who chew gum five minutes before an exam get better grades on the exam. A "mastication-induced arousal" was the cause to the higher academic performance supposedly.  This mastication-induced arousal lasted for the first 20 minutes of the exam.  Research shows that the slightest amount of exercise can help boost exam scores.
