The Energy Drink Problem

Since the invention of energy drinks in 1987 and the introduction of energy drinks in the United States in 1997, demand has skyrocketed. The original energy drink, Red Bull, is based off a popular Thai tea that was offered to a traveling business man to help with jet lag. He liked the taste and effects of the drink, so he modified it to fit western tastes better and started selling it in his home country of Austria. Most energy drinks are based off the the Red Bull recipe with some modifications. Because they are so new, energy drinks are almost completely unregulated especially in the US.
